As we inch closer to Christmas, I wanted to share one of the jolliest Christmas Stores I have ever seen, La Boutique de Noël. This is your go-to Christmas store in Quebec City, where you’ll be greeted by twinkling lights and Christmas vibes, creating a magical atmosphere.
Living up to its slogan, “For The Wonders of the Eyes,” the store exceeded my expectations with its incredible Quebec City Holiday Shopping decor and infectious holiday spirit.
The best part is that the store is right next to the Quebec City German Christmas Market.
The Story of La Boutique de Noël
Founded in 1986 on rue Garneau in Old Quebec, La Boutique de Noël de Quebec, was formerly Boutique Joyeux Noël. This festive haven offers a remarkable array of ornaments, including those crafted by the renowned White Sisters.
Eventually, the Festive Shops in Quebec moved to La Corriveau bookstore, unveiling the North Pole secret passage.
The shop also adorned Place Laurier until 1995, sharing its Best Christmas Decorations in Quebec with Ste-Foy.
The Quebec City boutique found a historic home on Buade Street, facing Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Additionally, it has a winter wonderland ambiance that attracts visitors worldwide.
La Boutique de Noël Reviews gained international fame in 2017 when the Korean TV show “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God” filmed a romantic scene. This drew visitors from Asia seeking the magic of that moment.
Meanwhile, the shop boasts an impressive collection of ornaments featuring Santa Claus and his elves. Perfect for those who cherish the timeless traditions of Christmas.
The Christmas Ornaments
They have so many ornaments; it was hard for me to choose one. Fortunately, they have them organized into cheerful themes like Santa’s workshop, sweets, gingerbread, the North Pole, religious treasures, and charming Christmas villages.
During my visit to the store, I certainly had to bring a piece of Quebec home with me. Of course I picked up a Toboggan with “Quebec” written on it and a skiing-loving Gnome. Both are perfect for capturing the essence of Quebec!
