One of the biggest perks of visiting a big city is exploring the different foodie districts. Also, I can safely say that Chinatown has always been one of my favorites, thanks to Xiao Long Dumplings!
In Las Vegas, Chinatown can sometimes be overshadowed by the bright lights of the casinos and flashy billboard signs for shows. But, located right in the Center of Chinatown is a dumpling house that made me happy I took the trip.

Xiao Long Dumplings
If you visited Chinatown and didn’t try dumplings, did you really visit Chinatown at all? Dumplings are everything, and we found the perfect place to indulge in them during our Las Vegas trip, Xiao Long Dumplings.
Tucked away in the main strip mall in Chinatown, Xia Long Dumplings is a true hidden gem. We found it by accident after visiting a trendy cocktail bar a few doors down, and I am so happy that we did!

The name of the restaurant carries two meanings. Xiao Long Bao (pronounced Shao -long-bao) is a type of steamed bun originating in China. At the same time, Xiao Long is commonly known as the martial artist Bruce Lee. This bridged the gap between East and West. Basically, Xiao Long Dumplings uses their dumplings as a bridge to carry on Bruce Lee’s legend.
The Dumplings
Now, let’s get to the dumplings! Additionally, Xia Long offers a variety of regular and soup dumplings for you to try! All ranging affordably from $10 to $15. Each set of dumplings comes with 6, making it easy to eat one or ten plates of them!

The Xiao long dumplings menu includes House Special Soup Dumplings, Shrimp and Pork Soup Dumplings, Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings, Chili Soup Dumplings, Chicken Soup Dumplings, and many more delectable varieties.
You can also enjoy a variety of regular dumplings, such as Steamed Pork, Steamed Beef, Steamed Shrimp, Steamed Veggie & Mushroom Dumplings, and Spicy Steamed Dumplings.
Also, don’t forget to add on some Pan-Fried Pork Buns too!
How To Eat Soup Dumpling
I can’t be the only one who thought shoving an entire dumpling into your mouth as the soup implodes is the way to do it. It is a delicious way to go about it, but I was surprised to find out that it is not the correct way to eat one.

This is the proper way to eat a soup dumpling, according to Xiao Long Dumplings.
1. Dip directly.
2. Put Sauce into a spoon and coat the bottom of the dumpling.
3. Use chopsticks to open the top gently, then spoon some sauce right in.
4. Gracefully bite off the top of the dumpling and spoon in some sauce.
Tada, you did it! So what do you think? Is this dumpling house on your Las Vegas bucket list?
