About Eventide Oyster Co

Additionally, Eventide Oyster Co. prides itself on blending modern restaurant vibes with a great American oyster bar experience. Moreover, they provide a fresh take on classic New England fare, thanks to being located so close to the Gulf of Maine.

Furthermore, their main location is in Portland, Maine, but they do have a second location by Fenway Park in Boston.

They have a creative menu featuring seafood dishes and an oyster-sucking station at the bar. Dining here is an experience from the moment you walk in.

Fresh Maine Seafood

Now it’s time to get to the food! Their seafood dishes are caught locally, thanks to their proximity to the Gulf of Maine. That means fresh and tasty shellfish.

The chef at Eventide is Andrew Taylor. He sports a beard, has four cubs, and resides with his wife just outside of Portland. According to their website, a fun fact is that he briefly worked as Rosie O’Donnell’s stunt double.

Local Oysters

The oysters are shucked right in front of you! It is amazing to watch your food being prepared.

They have an entire menu of local oysters, so you can pick and choose what you want or ask the server to pick for you. Some local spots include Winter Point Select, Norumbega, John’s River, and Basket Island.

Their Brown Butter Lobster Roll lived up to the hype, and hands down; it was one of my favorite lobster rolls. It’s unique and packed with flavor!

If you want the full New England experience, try the New England Clam Bake. This includes Steamers, mussels, lobster tail, potatoes, salt pork, and a hard-boiled egg nestled into a bed of rock seaweed. Served with drawn butter and nori vinaigrette.

I had to try the Dirty Dirty Martini with vodka, olive brine, oyster brine, and hot sauce. It tasted just like the sea.
