Schilling Beer Co. is a unique European-inspired brewery found in Littleton, New Hampshire, an adorable town in the White Mountains.
One of the best parts of road trips through the White Mountains in New Hampshire is finding hidden gems and mouthwatering food, and we found both during our journey. The town of Littleton was filled with shops selling local jams and spices and various restaurants and bars.
But down the hill, next to the water, was Schilling Beer Co. The brewery was dressed in string lights and had outdoor warming huts for those wanting to eat outside despite the cold winter weather. Inside was welcoming, with warm decor and windows overlooking the Ammonoosuc River.

We were lucky enough to drink and eat here this past weekend, and here is everything you need to know about this foodie hot spot!
The Beers At Schilling Beer Co
Their passion for beers is what makes them even more memorable. The Beer reflects their experiences of living and traveling through continental Europe. The memories of the time spent with their friends and family help define their beers.

The Brewing Process
They brew their beers on a custom North American-built five-vessel, decoction-capable, 20-barrel brewhouse. This was designed and built into this unique system to develop the depth of consistency you see today across the range of their beers. This particular investment in quality is what sets Schilling Beer Co. apart from other breweries.
They maintain a vibrant and growing wild and spontaneous beer program on the river level of their production brewery. In addition, they regularly condition ‘clean’ beers in foudres and other oak vessels in different areas of their production facility.
It comes as no surprise they take pride in their brews! You can taste that in every sip.
The Brewery Pub & Kitchen
Their Pub & Kitchen menu features so many delicious dishes. They have an extensive menu of wood-fired pizzas that are hand-crafted by their culinary team. They focus on local New Hampshire ingredients, and many of their pies change with the season.

Wood-fired Pizza
We had the pleasure of eating the Chicken Maple Bacon Pizza, which featured chicken, bacon, apple, spinach, and white cheddar garnished with maple syrup.
You cannot visit New Hampshire or Vermont without putting their authentic Maple Syrup on everything!
Single-Beer Marinated Bratwurst
Their menu also has German flare, such as pretzels and the Bratwurst, which is sourced locally.
Their Single Beer-Marinated Bratwurst is served on a house-made pretzel twist, accompanied by sauerkraut, house beer mustard, and greens.
You can also add one to the side like we did, it was worth every bite!

They also have various other menu items, such as house greens, housemade hummus, and pizza plates. You truly cannot go wrong with any menu item,
How Long Is The Wait at Schilling Beer Co?
They do get busy as they are one of the most popular spots in the White Mountains. You can put your name on the wait list once you arrive. We had to wait an hour, but instead of standing outside, they recommended we go to Mill St Kitchen next door for a beer or snack.
The Mill St. Kitchen serves casual European-inspired, beer-friendly fare with a local focus. This includes hand-held treats like smash burgers, dönerkebabs, and house-cut fries.
This killed about a half hour before they texted us that our table was ready. The best part? You can carry your drink over with you to Schilling Beer Co. instead of forcing yourself to finish it!
How To Get Schilling Beer Co
Getting here is easy! Once you find parking downtown, take the stairs towards the river. You will see the brewery lit up and hear music in the distance.
Spending the weekend in New Hampshire’s White Mountains? I recommend a day hike to Flume Gorge and eating breakfast at Polly’s Pancake Parlor.
If you are visiting during Winter, you have to take a trip to New Hampshire’s Ice Castles, which are only a half-hour drive from Schilling Beer Co.!
