Estes Park has plenty of rental shops where you can pick up XC Skis. I personally recommend Estes Park Mountain Shop; their rentals are cheap, and the staff is very helpful.

They will size you up while reviewing important information on using the XC Skis. You can also rent snowshoes and winter gear from here too.

Can You Snoeshow on Trail Ridge Road?

Don’t know how to XC ski? No problem! You can also snowshoe along the road or walk when the snow is packed. There is enough room for everyone to enjoy it, and you will see many visitors doing both activities.
