Hawaii has so many excellent restaurants with scenic ocean views. Located off the tourist strip is a stunning restaurant that feels enchanting. You enjoy cuisine inspired by Japan and Hawaii while admiring the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head in the distance. Here is everything you need to know about 53 By The Sea.
53 By The Sea
53 By The Sea opened its doors in 2012 and has become one of the island’s fine dining options. Thanks to the grand staircase, crystal chandelier, and sea views, you will feel charmed from the moment you walk in.

53 By The Sea combines seasonal, locally grown ingredients with tasty seafood and the finest hand-cut meats.
T’s At 53
You can visit T’s At 53, their cocktail bar with classic libations, Hawaiian tiki cocktails, and fine spirits. They also have a variety of mocktails for those looking for a drink with no alcohol. Skilled mixologists curate each drink.
You can grab a drink here before your dinner or stop by to enjoy a cocktail before your evening in Hawaii.
Try their Burnt From Both Ends, which has Rittenhouse Rye, Burnt Sugar Syrup, Orange Bitters, Whiskey Barrel Aged Bitters, and Cherry Wood Smoke.
Dinner At 53 By The Sea
The food here was incredible, from unique menu items to high-end plating. Japan and Hawaii inspire their dishes, so you know you are in for fantastic flavor combinations.

Their menu changes often. I did the tasting menu when I dined here, which is no longer offered. However, some of the dishes I tried are on the main menu.
Their seafood dishes shine, including the Negi Toro, which is locally caught ahi, shaved onion, shiso katsuobushi bubu arare, green onion coulis, soy, and wasabi oil.
Main Dish favorites include Aqua Paza, which has locally caught Fish, Black Tiger Prawns, Maine Sea Scallops, Black Mussels, Manila Clams, Sundried Tomato, Fried Limu, and Brown Butter Caper Sauce.

They also have a variety of meat dishes such as Hawaiian Rose Veal Bolognese, which has tenderloin, Ribeye & Pancetta Ragù, Housemade Pappardelle, and Parmigiano Reggiano.
Please do not leave without trying their desserts and pairing them with a dessert wine duo!

If you have the funds and time to dine at 53 By The Sea, do it! It wasn’t my favorite restaurant in Honolulu. But the food was delicious, and the views from our dinner table were stunning. I recommend it for an evening out, away from the chaos of Waikiki.
