Basel is a lively city located in Switzerland, near the border of Germany. It is packed with lively art sculptures, cobblestone streets, and a variety of restaurants and bars. I made it my goal to find the best cocktail in Basel during my visit. Fortunately, there was one place that lived up to the hype, Hinz & Kunz!

I found myself exploring the Markthalle, which wasn’t too far from the train station. The Markthalle is filled with a variety of food. You can order it at one of the many booths and then sit at one of the many tables to enjoy it.

As I was finding the perfect place to eat, I stumbled upon a hidden gem, Hinz & Kunz. This cocktail bar was packed to the brim with those enjoying cocktails and the atmosphere. However, we were able to find a spot right away!

Their cocktail menu had a little bit of everything! From classic drinks to in-house creations consists of 958 spirits, including 480 whisky, 160 rum, and 98 gin. Firstly, you have to try one of their creative cocktails. Then, you can explore the Markethalle to add some food.

It is no wonder they have won a bunch of awards, including the Platz Best Whisky Bar Switzerland 2019 and Best Newcomer Bar 2015 Swiss Bar Awards
