Driving the going-to-the-sun road in Glacier National Park is a bucket list drive for many. There are so many amazing places to stop during the journey through the Park. One of my favorite stops was not a hike or a viewpoint, but Weeping Wall.

Weeping Wall In Glacier National Park
Weeping Wall is located on the Going-to-the-Sun Road at mile marker 29. It was one of my favorite stops during our road trip!

You can actually see it right from your car window, but I recommend parking at the small parking area and getting out of the car for a closer look.
The parking lot is a short walk from the waterfall. Just look for the sign on the road. Be careful of cars when walking to it.

This natural phenomenon consists of a series of waterfalls that cascade down a steep rock face, creating the appearance of a “weeping” wall. The water comes from snowmelt and rainfall, making the flow particularly strong in the spring and early summer.

The volume of water varies with the seasons, being most impressive during the spring and early summer when snowmelt is at its peak.

I walked under the falls on a hot summer day. It was the perfect way to cool off after a day hiking around Glacier National Park!

Be cautious when stopping on the road to view the Weeping Wall, as traffic can be heavy during peak tourist seasons.
