Paris has over one hundred Michelin-star restaurants, so it can be hard to know which ones to try when visiting. However, the high cost of dining at these prestigious establishments can be a deterrent for many. I dedicated my time to finding one of the most affordable Michelin-star restaurants in Paris: SHIRO. Here is everything you need to know!
SHIRO’s Michelin-Starred Lunch
I came across SHIRO Paris when choosing the restaurants we would dine at in Paris. While their dinner menu looked delicious, their lunch menu truly caught my eye.
Chef Hiroyuki Ushiro mixes French gastronomy with Japanese influences. The chef was born in Yamaguchi, a small Japanese village by the sea.
He grew up creating dishes featuring freshly caught fish and cuisine made from local and seasonal products. You will be able to taste the inspiration in every bite.

The restaurant’s decor is charming. Shiro’s intentional “Zen” atmosphere features oak wood, velvet armchairs and benches, and Japanese tapestries on the walls.

Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Shiro is a standout destination for fusion bistronomy.
The Bento Box Experience
We came here to try their Shiro BENTO box, which has nine discovery plates. It was a great option, as we were able to try a variety of the chef’s creations, including fish, meat, and even dessert.
My favorite part of the experience, besides the mind-blowing flavors, was the cost.
It was only €35 per person, which is quite a steal when it comes to Michelin dining.

Shiro Paris offers a unique take on Franco-Japanese cuisine, blending traditional French flavors with the precision of Japanese technique.
This was one of our meat dishes at Shiro Restaurant Paris. The sauce was bold and flavorful, and the dish was dressed with colorful produce.

Here is the dessert: the chocolate was delectable, melting in my mouth with the fresh whipped cream and savory berries.

When Is The Lunch Menu Offered?
The lunch menu at SHIRO Paris is available only on weekdays, making it a great option for those looking to experience their Michelin-star offerings during a weekday visit.

However, it’s important to note that the lunch service is not available on public holidays, so be sure to plan accordingly if you’re hoping to dine on this special menu.
Does SHIRO Offer Dinner?
Yes, they have a full dinner menu, including a tasting menu on the weekends. I recommend coming here to try any of their meals!
You can see the entire menu here.
Where Is SHIRO Located?
Shiro Restaurant is in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris 6th.
