From soaking in healing mineral waters to enjoying the rejuvenating benefits of saunas and steam rooms, there’s something for everyone at Strøm Spa. Whether you’re looking to unwind after a long day of exploring or seeking an escape from the city, Strøm Spa is the perfect destination. It’s my favorite Nordic spa in Quebec City, and here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit!
Strøm Spa
Located on the picturesque banks of the Saint Lawrence River, Strøm Spa provides a tranquil experience for visitors. The spa’s stunning architecture is designed to blend with the surrounding nature while keeping a peaceful ambiance.

Relaxation Pools At Strøm Spa
There are so many relaxation pools around the property. Here are a few of the ones I soaked in.
The Infinity Pool
The infinity pool sits along the river, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful sound of the river flowing. You can watch the ferry make their way across the distance or simply close your eyes and listen to the sounds around you.

This was the busiest pool of the spa, but there was plenty of room for everyone to soak. We visited a few times during the day and then returned to soak at night.

Nordic Bath With Waterfall
This pool is one of the cold plunges on the property. Cold plunges, or cold baths, offer several health benefits. They improve circulation by constricting and dilating blood vessels, boosting blood flow. They also reduce inflammation and swelling by numbing the area and tightening blood vessels, which is helpful after intense physical activity.

The Nordic Bath with waterfall is 55 Degrees F or 13 C. We hopped in out quickly after soaking in the relaxation pools.

There is also another cold plunge near the entrance that is a little warmer, but still cold.

Soaking Pools
We also enjoyed various soaking pools, each offering a different temperature, allowing us to experience a range of sensations and benefits. Some pools were warm and soothing, while others were refreshingly cool, creating a perfect balance of relaxation and invigoration.

Nord Restaurant
You should also visit Nord Restaurant during your stay! We visited in our robes, which was a relaxing experience. While we did not try the food, we did grab a drink after soaking our worries away in the pools.

Their cafe offers delicious food inspired by the northern landscape, using fresh, local ingredients. They work with local artisans to create tasty dishes that showcase the best nature has to offer each season.
The menu changes with the seasons, focusing on quality over quantity with an eco-friendly approach.
Do I Need Reservations?
Yes, you do. All reservations are timed, and you have to be there within half an hour of your time slot to enter. You can book a reservation here.

How Much Is It To Visit Strøm Spa?
We booked the Thermal Experience during our stay, which allowed us to use the relaxation pools, saunas, and steam rooms. A day pass to the facility costs USD 65.

Do They Speak English At Strøm Spa?
Quebec City is predominantly a French-speaking city. However, the staff at Strøm Spa spoke English, so we had no problem checking in and exploring the spa during our visit, even though we don’t speak French very well.
Where Is Strøm Spa?
You can find Strøm Spa in Old Quebec in Quebec City.
