Booking a Jameson Whiskey Tasting
If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend booking your Jameson tour in advance. It’s a super popular experience, and time slots fill up quickly, especially on weekends.

- Jameson Black Barrel Blending Class – Hands-on experience where you blend your own whiskey.

We went with the classic Jameson tasting experience, and it was the perfect mix of history, storytelling, and (of course) whiskey!

Walking into Jameson Bow St. feels like stepping back in time. The old brick walls, wooden barrels, and dimly lit tasting rooms create the perfect atmosphere.
Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also funny and engaging—telling stories about Jameson’s history, the distilling process, and what makes Irish whiskey unique compared to Scotch or bourbon.
The Whiskey Tasting: What to Expect
Now for the best part—the Jameson whiskey tasting!
We got to sample four different whiskeys side by side:
- Jameson Original – The classic smooth triple-distilled whiskey
- Jameson Crested – A richer, sherry-influenced blend
- Jameson Distillery Edition – An exclusive edition only available at the distillery
- Jameson Black Barrel Cask Strength – A more intense, bold whiskey aged in double-charred barrels
Our guide walked us through the proper tasting technique—smelling the whiskey, noticing the flavors, and the all-important slow sip to appreciate the smoothness.
My Favorite Part of the Experience
One of the coolest parts? At the end of the tasting, we got a complimentary Jameson cocktail, and I went for the classic Jameson Ginger & Lime—a refreshing way to finish the experience.
