Desert Bistro serves adventurous cuisine with a southwestern flair. It was established in 2001 and has since been serving delicious food. We were lucky enough to find it when looking for dinner spots near our hotel. It is not on the main strip but tucked away on a side street right in the heart of Moab.

From the moment we walked, we were impressed. From the desert decor to the warm welcome from the team, we were so happy to be dining there.

Dining At Desert Bistro

I discovered Desert Bistro while looking for a great dinner spot after hiking in Arches National Park. It’s tucked away from the main strip, offering a peaceful, upscale escape from the busier tourist restaurants.

Appetizer: Seared Tuna Wontons

We ordered seared tuna wontons for our starter. They were out of this world!

The fish tasted so fresh, the wontons were extra crispy, and the sauce was out of this world.

From the plating to the accompaniments, I knew we were already in for a treat.

Main Courses: Homemade Ravioli

Next up are the main dishes. The first dish was homemade ravioli served with mushrooms, a light broth, and fresh herbs.

I have had pasta from all over the country in Italian districts, but this dish at Desert Bistro was in my top five.

We also got the fresh market fish, served with a light sauce and local vegetables.

Drinks: Happy Hour Martinis

Our dinner was paired with happy hour martinis, the perfect way to end the day.

Dessert: Chocolate Heaven!

We were so full by the end of our main dishes, but the food was so good that we decided to try a dessert paired with dessert cocktails.

Our dish was filled with chocolate goodness and paired with an espresso martini and a port wine.

The service, the decor, and the food were out of this world. If you have one place to dine in Moab, pick Desert Bistro.

They are affordable and priced the same as some touristy restaurants that do not have the same quality of food. You won’t regret dining here!
