Famous dishes like poke and huli chicken are usually the show-stoppers in Hawaii. However, there is one treat that I cannot get off my mind: the Hula Dog. Even a year after visiting Hawaii, I still dream about having another.

The Delicious Hula Dog

Hula Dogs is a family-owned restaurant that started in 2000. At first, it was a little hotdog stand that wanted to provide a fresh take on the American hotdog. They did this by combining natural local ingredients and Hawaiian taste. So, what is this mouthwatering treat?

A Hula Dog is a unique Hawaiian take on the hot dog. It’s nestled in a bun-sized loaf of bread pierced with a ‘Puka’ from one end. You can customize your own Puka experience by selecting your preferred Hula Dog® Bread, which includes options like Brioche, Hawaiian, or Taro.

Next, choose between a traditional Polish sausage or a veggie dog as your protein base. The excitement builds as you handpick your desired toppings, ranging from roasted garlic lemon sauce to tropical relishes, mustards, and traditional sauce.

Delicious is an understatement when it comes to eating a Hula Dog!
