Times Square in New York City is one of the busiest places in the city. It has been a tourist attraction since the 1920s and has since evolved with a surplus of restaurants, shops, and cocktail bars. I was surprised to find that one of my favorite stops in the area was a tourist destination of its own, Sugar Factory.

About The Sugar Factory

The Sugar Factory is a restaurant and confectionery store known for its extravagant desserts, signature cocktails, and candy-themed decor. founded in 2009 by Charissa Davidovici, the first Sugar Factory location opened in the Meatpacking District of New York City.

The Sugar Factory offers over-the-top milkshakes, decadent desserts, savory dishes, and a wide array of candy-inspired cocktails. Some of their most popular offerings include signature goblet drinks, served in oversized glasses and often garnished with candy, fruit, or other indulgent treats.

Sugar Factory’s Exciting Cocktails

We came here after dinner to experience the large and smoky drinks. I had to try one of their goblets! You can share the goblets with 2-4 people, which makes the price fair.

Some signature Goblets include the Big Cloud Goblet, made with a smooth blend of premium Gran, Coramino Cristalino, selvarey rum, tropical pineapple, fresh peach, and melon. This wouldn’t be complete without the fluffy blue raspberry cotton candy garnish. This delicious goblet is sure to have you walking on a cloud!

Sugar Factory’s smoking cocktails typically involve dry ice to create a visually stunning effect. Here is a video of our cocktail being poured in.

We also got to try the Cotton Candy Cosmo, which combines cotton candy vodka with a traditional cosmopolitan and tops it off with a puff of cotton candy.

They do have Non-Alcoholic Options Available For Most Signature Cocktails, too!

Food At Sugar Factory

While I have not tried their food, many love to come here for brunch. Try their S’mores Pancakes, which are Buttermilk pancakes topped with brûlée marshmallow fluff chocolate sauce, Hershey’s® bar pieces, topped with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbles, and powdered sugar.

Pair that with their famous brunch cocktails, such as their Mimosa Flights.

You can also come here for lunch and dinner if you want to make your visit an entire night out!

When Is Sugar Factory in Times Square Open?

You can visit the restaurant and cocktail bar from 8:00 am to Midnight every day; they are even open until 1:00 AM on Saturday, which is pretty standard for the city that never sleeps.
