Brooklyn is famous for being one of the best foodie destinations in NYC, and I can see why. I visited Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to try the hot dog cocktail, and during my visit, I found one foodie dish nearby that I couldn’t forget, the Olive Oil Gelato at L’Industrie Pizzeria.
L’Industrie Pizzeria
Does this pizzeria truly need an introduction? It is the most famous pizza joint in Brooklyn. Massimo Laveglia founded L’Industrie Pizzeria with the goal of bringing a slice of authentic Italian pizza to Brooklyn.
His passion for traditional pizza-making techniques and high-quality ingredients has helped the pizzeria gain a strong reputation, and it worked.

L’Industrie Pizzeria has so many pizza varieties, refreshing beverages, and my favorite find, gelato!

The Olive Oil Gelato
As we waited in the line that wrapped around the block, it was finally our time to order. We got two slices, of course, and as we went to pay, I saw the sign for the Olive Oil Gelato, which was located right near the register.
I had to have it, so I ordered one to enjoy while we waited for our slices to be ready. They pulled the lever on the machine, and the delicious gelato came out, it was then topped with silky olive oil.

I didn’t know what to expect when I took my first bite. The gelato was smooth, creamy, cold, and salty. The olive oil enhanced the already delicious flavor, and I was suddenly in heaven.
This was the best surprise we came across on a hot summer day in Williamsburg!
Pizza At L’Industrie Pizzeria
The pizzeria is known for its thin-crust, New York-style pizzas with old-world Italian authenticity. The slices we had were delicious and lived up to the hype with every bite I took.
From the rich homemade sauce using Bianco di Napoli tomatoes to the gooey Liuzzzi cheese and the perfectly crispy crust, it was a true New York slice!

We tried a slice of the Margherita Pie which has tomato sauce, mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil, Parmigiano, basil, and a classic Pepperoni slice!
Where Are They Located?
They now have two locations! I visited the original, which sits in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, at 254 S 2nd St, Brooklyn, NY 11211.
