Harder Kulm

What is Harder Kulm?
First let’s talk about Harder Kulm, a mountain peak that overlooks Interlaken, sitting at an elevation of 1,322 meters or 4,336 feet. It’s known as the “Top of Interlaken” because of its unbeatable views of the Jungfrau region, Lake Thun, and Lake Brienz. Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking for a relaxing day trip, Harder Kulm has something for everyone.

Meet The Bernese Mountain Dog At Harder Klum!
As soon as we got to the top, I was amazed to see a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog sitting proudly. Just imagine having those views every day! Being my favorite dog breed, my heart melted.

Although we were offered a table with a view of the surroundings, I chose one near the dog instead. We were able to pet him and give him our full attention.
He was very friendly, and despite his size, he was truly gentle. When I asked for his name, I think they said “Harty” or “Hardy”—there was a language barrier, so I might be mistaken. Regardless, meeting him made my entire trip.
Here is a video! As you can see he loves the attention!
Finding a Bernese Mountain Dog in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland was the top highlight of my trip!
