Located just a short drive away from Las Vegas, on the side of the road, is an art installation that you might drive right by.
Thanks to its colorful charm, seven brightly colored boulders, also known as the Seven Magic Mountains, are a perfect stop during your western road trip.
Seven Magic Mountains
When I visited the Seven Magic Mountains in Las Vegas, I was blown away by how surreal they looked rising out of the desert.

This art installation, created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone and unveiled in 2016, features seven massive stacks of neon-painted boulders, each reaching nearly 30 feet high.

The fluorescent colors stand out sharply against the dry desert landscape, making it one of the most Instagram-worthy stops just outside the city.
I had a lot of fun posing with the boulders, though I noticed a few people trying to climb them (which I don’t recommend!).
How To Get To Seven Magic Mountains
Getting to this installation is easy, too! The Seven Magic Mountains sit approximately 10 miles south of Las Vegas, near the Jean Dry Lake Bed.
Visit while you can! These magic mountains could be gone before you know it.
