Maine is home to some of the best seafood in the world. From buttery lobster rolls to freshly shucked oysters, you won’t go wrong with any of the food here. Eating around Maine is one of my hobbies, which is no surprise since I put together the Local’s Guide To The Best Lobster Rolls In Maine! But there is one place I have to feature: OystHERS in Bath.
OystHERS Raw Bar & Bubbly
There is just something about this place, from the friendly team to the freshly shucked oysters, that keeps me coming back. First, let’s learn about OystHERs and their story.
Sadia Crosby, owner of OystHERS Sea Farm, along with her sister Lauren, are lobstermen’s daughters from Georgetown Island, Maine. At the end of 2021, their father and best friend, Captain Angus McGregor Crosby, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his three daughters, wife of twenty-nine years, and his lobster traps and lobster boats still in the water.

It was during this time that the duo decided to fulfill one of their sister dreams: the opening of Oysthers Raw Bar & Bubbly, a seasonal raw bar featuring Sadia’s own Oysthers and lobster sliders to support Georgetown’s local lobstermen.
One of the reasons I love supporting them is that they give back to the community. They use OystHERS to host local artists and songwriters and offer educational opportunities. Maine is a state that prides itself on helping each other and supporting one another in the community, and OystHERS adds to that.

In addition to their heartwarming story, they also provide the best OystHERS I had in Maine. Enjoy some by sitting outside at one of their picnic tables, which has some of the best waterfront views.
The Oysters
You simply cannot come here without trying the oysters! You have two options.
Order the OystHERS on the half shell, which is served with fresh lemon & house mignonette sauce & cocktail sauce.

Or try an Oyster Flight, which features oysters from other farms.

I love that they put small clothespins on them so you can remember what farms the oysters come from.

Make sure to ask staff for featured farms of the day! You can even get whole OystHERS to go!
In addition to their oysters, they also have a variety of tasty food for you to try. From charcuterie boards to caviar hot dogs you can’t go wrong! Check out their entire menu here.
The Bubbles
OystHERS is more than just a raw bar; it’s also a bubbly lounge featuring fantastic glasses of wine and bubbles.

One of my favorite things to order is the Dealer’s Choice—a random glass of bubbles or wine chosen by the team. It could be anything, and they’ll explain their pick. I’ve discovered some amazing bubbles this way.

You can also kick back and relax, grab a bottle, and admire the views of the water right in front of you. We chose to sip on the Oyster River Winegrowers: 2023 Morphos Rosé, a winery in Maine that pairs perfectly with the Oysters.

When Are They Open?
They are open seasonally seven days a week until September 15th. Then they go to limite dhours. So make sure to visit them this summer—you won’t regret it.
