This past weekend, I had the chance to check out the Salem Night Faire, and let me tell you—it’s the ultimate Halloween event in Salem! If you’re a fan of all things spooky and love supporting local artists, this event is a must-do.
Set in Pioneer Village, the Night Faire transforms the streets into a magical market full of unique, handcrafted goods, eerie decor, and a lively Halloween vibe. From witches and tarot readers to potion bottles and handmade jewelry, there’s something for everyone.

Salem Night Faire
As soon as you step into the faire, you’re surrounded by the sights and sounds of Halloween.
The Haunted Characters
My favorite part of the Salem Night Faire was definitely the haunted characters. They really brought the spooky atmosphere to life! If you plan to interact with them, be sure to bring about 20 singles to tip the characters. They appreciate it, and it adds to the fun!
We visited the mute fortune teller first, who gave us each a broken tarot card, during a qiet yet errie meeting.

Next, we visited the creepy witches who let you stick your hand in the box of fears—if you’re brave enough, of course! The atmosphere was full of mystery as the witches encouraged visitors to take the plunge.

What’s inside? Well, you’ll have to try it yourself to find out! The suspense was exciting, and I could see the mix of thrill and nervousness on everyone’s faces as they took turns reaching into the box.

There were also ghost stories being told around the fire, adding to the spooky atmosphere of the Night Faire.
The most famous character at the Night Faire is the leader, who draws hundreds of people eager to visit him. As he smiles creepily at each person, the tension builds before he reaches in to give you a fortune.

When I stepped up, he handed me my card with a serious look. Mine stated, “Life is getting a little less sweet.” It definitely left me thinking!

Grab A Pumpkin Beer
East Regiment Beer was serving up some delicious brews during the Night Faire, and one of the crowd favorites was the Reggie Pumps, a pumpkin hefeweizen.
This seasonal beer had the perfect blend of pumpkin spice and smooth wheat flavors, making it a great choice for a crisp fall evening.

The brewery had a whole setup and their booth was constantly buzzing with people eager to try the festive brews.

Does Salem Night Faire Have Food?
If you get hungry, the food trucks have you covered. There are plenty of options for a quick bite, from hot cider and warm donuts to savory treats like woodfired pizza.

Shop For Spooky Souvieniors
Make sure to stop by the shopping area for everything spooky! Whether you want to spruce up your Halloween decor or take something special home from Salem, this is the place to be.

I found some festive candles that I’m excited to burn on Halloween night. There were so many unique items, from witchy decor to handmade crafts, that it was hard to choose.
When Should I Visit Salem Night Faire
The fair is only open for two weekends in October. I highly recommend arriving early to avoid the bigger crowds, especially if you want to take your time browsing the booths and chatting with the vendors.
Is The Salem Night Faire Family Friendly?
The Salem Night Faire is family-friendly, but it’s also great for a night out with friends or a fun date. With the glowing lights, costumed visitors, and festive vibes, the Salem Night Faire truly captures the spirit of Halloween in this historic town.
Where Can I Get Tickets to Salem Night Faire
You can purchase tickets at the door or online in advance. I recommend buying them ahead of time since it will speed up the entry process, which can get pretty long.
This way, you can spend more time enjoying the faire and less time waiting in line. Plus, having your tickets ready makes for a smoother start to your spooky adventure!
You can purchase tickets on Eventbrite here.
