After an afternoon at Fenway Park, I was starving! I needed something fast, filling, and a little ridiculous—in the best way, which is exactly why I made my way to Boston Burger Company on Boylston Street. From overloaded burgers to insane milkshakes, this place has everything. If you’re on the hunt for the best burgers in Boston, this is where you need to be. Here is a look at my visit.

What Is Boston Burger Company

Boston Burger Company isn’t your average burger joint. It’s a local legend known for its towering burgers, messy fries, and most importantly, its monstrous milkshakes.

The menu is packed with creative combos, unexpected toppings, and unapologetically bold flavors.

They’ve been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Phantom Gourmet, and even in The New York Times.

Let’s Talk About the Milkshakes

This was the moment I had been waiting for. The kind of milkshake you don’t just drink—you experience.

Boston Burger Company calls them “Freak Frappes,” and honestly, it lived up to the name.

I ordered the Frappe Of The Month, which was called Breakfast In Bed. It had a maple frappe with mini pancakes, donut holes, bacon, fruity pebbles, caramel & maple syrup drizzle

I had to choose this one because I love Vermont and their Maple Creemes!

The milkshake was so photogenic, I felt bad diving in. But once I did? No regrets. Creamy, sweet, and completely over-the-top.

These shakes are the crown jewel of Boston Burger Company on Boylston St, and easily one of the most fun desserts I’ve ever had.

Mumbo Fries

We also grabbed an order of the Mumbo Fries because, why not? Picture golden fries loaded with cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, and more cheese.

I didn’t think fries could surprise me anymore, but Boston Burger Company clearly doesn’t play by the rules.

The Burgers

Even though I didn’t get a picture (because I inhaled it in about three bites), I have to talk about the burgers at Boston Burger Company.

I ordered the Ranch BLT burger, which came layered with crispy bacon, fresh tomato, lettuce, ranch dressing, and a thick, juicy patty cooked just right.

It was rich, messy, salty, and satisfying—everything you want from a proper burger and more.

If you’re wondering where to find all this burger-and-shake madness, you’ve got a few options, but I visited the one at 1100 Boylston Street in Boston—super easy to get to after a Red Sox game or while wandering around Back Bay.
