I came to London ready to see all of the festive decorations and holiday displays, and 34 Mayfair kept coming up as one of the most magical Christmas restaurants in the city. They host a special menu, also known as Miracle at 34, and it’s everything you could hope for and more.

Mostly because the restaurant transforms into one of the most beautifully decorated dining rooms in London.

Their Christmas installation fills the entire space with glowing bulbs that hang from the ceiling.

It creates a warm holiday atmosphere that photographs beautifully.

Many people visit just to see the decorations because they change every year and always become one of the most talked about Christmas displays in Mayfair.

I booked a dinner at 34 Mayfair during my week in London, and the entire restaurant felt like a holiday experience from the moment I walked in.

The Christmas decorations were even prettier in person, with the glowing bulb ceiling lighting up the room.

Along with the holiday atmosphere, we were excited to try the food.

Festive Cocktails

To start our meal, we had to try one of their Christmas Cocktails!

The festive cocktail menu immediately stood out because every drink felt made for Christmas in London.

I ordered the Merry Bee’s Knees, and it came with this soft Silent Pool Christmas Spirit mist that made it feel even more seasonal.

The flavor was silky and bright with lemon and winter honey, and it fit the vibe perfectly under the glowing Christmas bulb ceiling at 34 Mayfair.

Unique Starters

We had to start our dinner with a few of their signature starters.

The 34 Caesar Salad was so much better than a classic Caesar because the smoked garlic dressing had a really rich flavor.

I am not a huge salad fan, but this one was so delicous.

The Sticky Tiger Prawns were the dish we kept talking about!

They came coated in that bang bang peanut sauce with sweet BBQ pineapple, and every bite tasted bold and warm.

Delicious Main Entrees

For the mains we ordered the Fillet of Halibut, and it was one of the highlights of the night.

The halibut was soft and buttery, and the cauliflower purée was smooth.

The black truffles were the true star, though.

They added a rich winter flavor that felt right at home in a Christmas restaurant in Mayfair.

We also ordered the Heritage Fillet, which came cooked perfectly. Pairing it with grilled bone marrow and peppercorn sauce made it even richer.

Festive Desserts at 34 Mayfair

We finished our Christmas dinner in London with the 34 Christmas Bauble, which is their festive dessert.

Cracking it open revealed a warm, chocolate-brownie with bright clementine.

It was the perfect way to end a Christmas dinner in Mayfair.

Wine Pairing

For wine, we ordered a glass of Local Blend, Quinta da Fonte Souto, Florao, Alentejo, Portugal.

There is also a sommelier who comes table to table to help you select the best wine for your dish.

It worked really well with both dishes and had that smooth finish that pairs nicely with our Christmas dinner in London.
