It is no secret that I love lobster rolls, and Maine serves some of the best in the world. I was lucky enough to get a lobster roll during the Lobster Shack at Two Lights opening 2024 weekend. This spot gets packed in the summer and usually has a line out the door. Here is your guide to the Lobster Shack at Two Lights!
The Lobster Shack At Two Lights
The shack is near Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, an area that provides some of the best ocean views in the state. It is hidden down a small residential road and sits atop towering cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The Lobster Shack is an award-winning restaurant that has been a local landmark since the 1920s.
My Visit To The Lobster Shack At Two Lights
Pulling up, you will see the large staircase with a sign that says Lobster Shack Restaurant. That is when you know you made it!

As you walk up the stairs, stay to the right and get in line to order. Sometimes, the line can be wrapped around the entire outside area. But it moves quickly, and the views are hard to beat on a summer day.

They only serve fresh food, and seafood is their passion. You know you will enjoy a fresh lobster roll when the tank sits at the register!

I got the Lobster Roll Boat, which was packed with fresh lobster, a tangy sauce, lettuce, and fresh pickle.

It was affordable compared to other lobster rolls in Maine, and the size was perfect for one person.

A Variety Of Food Options
In addition to lobster rolls, there are many more items to enjoy. Land lovers can eat chicken sandwiches or hot dogs.
While seafood lovers can eat Fried Shrimp & Clams, Crab Roll Boats, Haddock Boats, Fish Burgers, and much more!

You can view their entire menu here.
Delectable Desserts
Please do not leave without trying one of their homemade desserts! They have Strawberry Rhubarb Pies, Pecan Pies, Oatmeal Pies, Blueberry Mini Pies, Grapenut–Raisin Bread Puddings, Strawberry Shortcake, and so much more!

I had the Whoopie Pie, which I think is the best Whoopie Pie I have ever had in Maine.

The chocolate exterior was flavorful, while the inside tasted like a cloud. It was to die for.
Seating At The Lobster Shack at Two Lights
You have a few options when it comes to seating. There is a small indoor restaurant area with large windows for admiring the sea, or you can enjoy the outdoor picnic tables.

I think the outside picnic tables provide some of the best lunch views in New England! If it’s nice out, definitely chow down at one of those.

You can enjoy the surrounding views of the tiny little lighthouse and the waves crashing on the rocky cliff.
