Fall in New England is my favorite time of year, from wearing my favorite flannel to tracking down the best apple cider donuts near Boston. The crisp air and colorful leaves make it beautiful, but the fall treats make it unforgettable. This year, I’m making it my mission to eat the best fall goodies in New England. Here’s where to find the best apple cider donuts near Boston this season.
Best Apple Cider Donuts Near Boston
1. Pizzi Farm– Waltham, MA
Just 25 minutes west of Boston is one of my favorite places to get apple cider donuts, Pizzi Farm!
This little market and deli is well-known for its seasonal treats, from homemade ice cream to classic Boston cider doughnuts.
I started with their Apple Crisp Ice Cream, which was sweet, spiced, and full of fall flavor.

Then I headed to the deli counter for one of their famous apple cider donuts.
Warm and coated in cinnamon sugar, it paired perfectly with the ice cream.

After you enjoy your treat, you can browse the market for more fall favorites like apple hickory BBQ sauce, fresh produce, and other local specialties.
2. Wilson Farm – Lexington, MA
Wilson Farm is one of the most popular places to grab fresh cider doughnuts near Boston, and it’s easy to see why.
This spot is more than just a place for donuts; it’s a full fall experience with pumpkins, mums, Halloween decorations, and plenty of seasonal goodies.
Normally, Wilson Farm features an iconic pumpkin wall, but this year they didn’t put it up.

Their Pumpkin Village, however, opens October 11 for fall photo ops.
I came here for their Apple Cider Donuts, which are made fresh in a tent outside.
You can watch them being fried and dipped in cinnamon sugar as you wait in line, which makes that first bite even better.

While waiting, there are fall treats to tempt you. I recommend the Apple Crisp Popcorn to enjoy later.
I also tried their apple cider slushie, which was the perfect pairing with the donuts.

Wilson Farm may not be a traditional orchard, but it’s still one of the best spots for orchard-style cider donuts near Boston.
This place gets busy! If the parking lot looks full, don’t worry! There’s additional parking right across the street.
Wilson Farm is about 27 minutes from Boston, and I recommend combining it with a stop at Pizzi Farm since it’s only 10 minutes away.

3. Cider Hill Farm – Amesbury, MA
Out of all the places I visited, Cider Hill Farm felt most like a perfect autumn day.
On a crisp fall afternoon, the farm was packed with families, food tents, and apple pickers roaming the hillsides.

The property is huge, complete with chickens, orchards stretching up the hill, and plenty of photo-worthy fall moments.
I started with their seasonal Apple Crisp Stacker, a decadent treat with apple crisp ice cream and whipped cream.

This treat absolutely lived up to the hype!
Next, I grabbed a cold apple cider, and I couldn’t help but notice their hard cider options looked just as tempting.

Finally, I made my way over to the food shack to try their famous apple cider donuts.

Sold by the half dozen, these warm, sugary donuts were the best apple cider donuts near Boston I tried!

They were soft, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I was happy to have had some for the next day.
After eating my way through the farm, I headed into the orchard for apple picking.
Walking up through the rows of trees to the top of the hill was an amazing experience, complete with views over the orchards and a bag of apples ready for pie.

At just 48 minutes north of the city, Cider Hill Farm is well worth the drive and stands out as one of the best apple orchards near Boston!

4. Russel Orchard – Ipswich, MA
Russell Orchards in Massachusetts easily earns a spot among the best places for apple cider donuts near Boston.

Their apple cider donuts are served warm, soft on the inside, and coated in just the right amount of cinnamon sugar — the perfect reward after exploring the orchard or sipping their small-batch apple wines.

This family-run farm has a timeless New England feel.
Complete with a big red barn, a farm store full of local goodies, and the irresistible scent of fresh donuts in the air.
