I recently spent the day eating my way through Boston’s Seaport, and let me tell you, this neighborhood does not disappoint. From viral ice cream creations to cookie pop-ups and bagel spots everyone’s talking about, the Seaport has become a true foodie playground by the water. Here’s is everywhere I ate in Boston Seaport!
Best Foodie Spots to Try in Boston Seaport
Levain Bakery: Oversized Cookies
My first stop was Levain Bakery, a place I’d been wanting to try ever since it opened in Boston’s Seaport.
Originally from New York City, Levain built its reputation on thick, gooey cookies that basically broke the internet.
Each one is crisp on the outside, soft and warm in the center, and packed with chocolate chips.

I went straight for their original chocolate chip walnut cookie, which is the one that started it all. It’s everything you want in a cookie!
I also couldn’t resist trying their fall spice flavor, a seasonal treat that tastes like autumn in cookie form with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.

If you only stop at one place in the Seaport, this is a must.
The smell alone will pull you in, and once you try a cookie fresh out of the oven, you’ll understand why people line up for these.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream: Viral Scoops
Next up was Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, one of the most viral dessert spots in the Seaport.
The brand started as a yellow ice cream truck in New York before expanding to scoop shops around the country.

I went for their Honeycomb Ice Cream, which is hands-down their most famous flavor.
It’s buttery, sweet, and perfectly smooth, with little golden toffee bits that melt just enough to give each bite a subtle crunch.
If you’re an ice cream lover, Van Leeuwen is a must on any Seaport food crawl.
It’s the perfect mix of classic and trendy, and yes, it’s just as photogenic as it tastes.
Pop Up Bagels: Viral NYC Bagels
Right next door to Van Leeuwen is Pop Up Bagels, one of the most talked-about new additions to Boston’s Seaport.
Originally from New York City, this bagel shop made waves for its fresh, hand-rolled bagels and creative flavored spreads that change every week.

Since I visited over Halloween weekend, I was extra excited to try their seasonal flavors: Candy Corn Butter and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip.

Both were as fun and delicious as they sound. The bagels themselves are soft on the inside with a perfectly crisp exterior!
That ideal mix that makes each bite melt in your mouth.

What makes Pop Up Bagels stand out is how you eat them.
Instead of slicing them open, you dip the bagels directly into the cream cheese.
Getting the perfect balance of warm, chewy dough and cool, creamy spread in every bite.
It’s messy in the best way and completely addictive.
Taiyaki NYC: Ice Cream in a Fish Cone?
My last stop was Taiyaki NYC, an ice cream shop that’s as fun to look at as it is to eat.
Their signature treat is soft-serve ice cream served in a fish-shaped cone called taiyaki. It is a Japanese-style waffle filled with sweet red bean paste.

I went with the matcha and vanilla swirl, which was smooth, light, and not too sweet.
The flavor combination worked perfectly with the subtle sweetness of the red bean filling.
It’s one of those desserts that’s impossible not to photograph before digging in.
But honestly, it was hard to keep it non-sloppy because they packed it so high!
The best part? Taiyaki NYC is located right next to the Museum of Ice Cream, which I visited the last time I was in Boston’s Seaport.
