I’m always on the hunt for the best local treats when I travel, and in Mont-Tremblant, that spot was definitely Chocolato. Between the smell of melted chocolate and the sight of dipped cones gleaming behind the counter, I knew I couldn’t resist. Here is everything I tried at Chocolato in Mont Tremblant!

Chocolato in Mont Tremblant

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Chocolato in Mont-Tremblant is the kind of place you’ll smell before you even see it.

Located right in the heart of the pedestrian village, this chocolate and ice cream shop is a favorite!

They have more than 20 different chocolate dips made from real Belgian chocolate!

You can pair them with soft serve, sundaes, or even dessert pizzas.

There are so many amazing treats here! And you simply have to try them all.

What I Tried at Chocolato Mont-Tremblant

I couldn’t visit a place like this and not try a few things, so here’s what I ordered (and loved) at Chocolato Mont-Tremblant.

Maple Ice Cream

I decided to start my dessert adventure with a scoop of maple ice cream in a cup.

Maple ice cream (sometimes called maple cream or “beurre d’érable” flavor) is a classic Quebec twist on the maple tradition.

It often blends real maple syrup with cream and a touch of richness, giving it a smooth, mellow sweetness that’s not overly sugary.

And the one at Chocolato was truly delicious! You could taste the Canadian maple syrup in every bite.

70% Dark Hot Chocolate

On a crisp fall afternoon, I couldn’t resist ordering a hot chocolate to bring with me up on the free chairlift.

Nothing beats sipping something warm while watching autumn’s colors drift past.

Chocolato offers many flavor options, but I went bold and chose their 70% dark chocolate version.

It was intensely rich, silky, and decadent. But, not overly sweet, but deep with that bittersweet cocoa edge.

The Famous Dipped Ice Cream Cone

Of course, I couldn’t leave Chocolato without trying what they’re best known for, their dipped ice cream.

After falling in love with the 70% noir chocolate from my hot drink, I had to try it as a coating too.

I went with classic vanilla soft serve dipped in that rich dark chocolate, and it was every bit as good as it looked.

The shell hardened into the perfect glossy crunch, giving way to creamy ice cream underneath.

Chocolato is famous for its 20 different chocolate dips, all made from pure Belgian chocolate, and it’s become a true Mont-Tremblant staple.

Almost everyone in the village seemed to be walking around with one of their dipped cones, and after that first bite, I completely understood why.

Why I’ll Always Come Back to Chocolato

Chocolato ended up being one of those places I didn’t just visit once — I kept finding excuses to go back.

Between the creamy maple butter ice cream, the rich 70% dark hot chocolate, and that perfectly dipped cone, it felt like a little slice of dessert heaven in the heart of Mont-Tremblant.

Whether you visit in the fall, like I did, or during ski season, it’s the kind of spot that makes your trip just a little bit sweeter.
