Planning a relaxing getaway near Vermont and wondering if La Cache du Lac Champlain is worth it? I stayed here to experience Noah Spa, unwind by the lake, and have dinner at Le Greg. Keep reading for my full review.

La Cache du Lac Champlain

La Cache du Lac Champlain is a spa and resort located just 20 minutes over the Vermont border.

We came here after exploring Vermont’s sugar shacks, and it felt like the perfect way to end the day.

The hotel sits right along Lake Champlain, which gives it a calm and scenic setting.

The rooms are spacious and designed more like suites, with separate living areas and private balconies.

Many rooms overlook the lake, which makes the stay feel even more relaxing.

It is also known as a golf spa and resort, so there is more to do beyond just the spa.

Whether you are here for a weekend getaway or just a night, it is easy to settle in and slow down.

Noah Spa at La Cache du Lac Champlain

After checking in, we headed straight to Noah Spa for our evening passes from 5 to 8.

The spa is not included with your stay, but you can book it as an add-on or purchase access separately.

We changed into our robes and made our way into the water-energy room.

This is the main feature of Noah Spa, where you move through different stations with massage jets that target different areas of the body.

We spent time sitting with the jets and even tried the whirlpool, which was a nice way to start the experience.

There is also a sauna that overlooks the lake, along with a steam room inside.

It gives you a mix of the classic Nordic spa elements while still focusing on the hydrotherapy circuit.

Our favorite part of the spa was heading outside to the hot tubs.

We grabbed a glass of wine and sat in the warm water surrounded by trees.

From here, we could see the lake and even watch the sunset, which made the whole experience feel extra relaxing.

Dinner at Le Greg

We were so excited for our dinner at Le Greg, which is located downstairs, just steps from the rooms.

It was the perfect way to end the day without having to go anywhere.

We decided to do the four-course menu, which featured items from their maple menu for sugar season.

We started with a round of gin martinis made with local gin, and they were amazing.

Our meal began with a fresh salad and a tomato bisque soup.

Starters

We ordered the brioche French toast, the coffee, and the maple-glazed beef pressé.

The French toast was topped with a poached egg, truffle cream, and toasted almonds.

The beef pressé was slow-pressed and glazed with coffee and maple syrup.

It came with a white onion cream, fruit ketchup gel, and crispy shallots.

This was one of my favorite dishes of the night.

Main Entrees

Next, our mains arrived.

We had the poultry of the day, which was slow cooked and full of flavor.

The dish was rich and comforting, and paired perfectly with the sauce and vegetables on the plate.

We also ordered the lamb shank, which came with a cinnamon infused pomodoro sauce.

It was tender and fell right off the bone, and the flavor was one of the highlights of the meal.

Both were rich and flavorful, and by this point, we were already feeling full.

Maple Desserts

We still made room for dessert, and I am glad we did.

We ordered the maple floating island and the butter shortbread and apple velouté, both from the maple menu.

We enjoyed them with a glass of wine, which was the perfect way to finish the meal.

The whole experience at Le Greg was amazing.

Even if you are not staying at La Cache du Lac Champlain, I would absolutely recommend coming here for dinner if you are in the area.

Is La Cache du Lac Champlain Worth It?

La Cache du Lac Champlain is more than just a hotel.

It is a full experience that brings together a relaxing stay, a spa day, and a great meal all in one place.

From unwinding at Noah Spa to enjoying dinner at Le Greg and waking up by the lake, everything feels easy and well thought out.

You do not have to leave the property to have a full getaway.

If you are looking for a relaxing escape just over the Vermont border, this is a great option for a quick and easy getaway.
