Located in the heart of Fenway, this popular dessert spot has become a favorite for anyone craving something a little different in Boston.

The cafe focuses on authentic Japanese desserts and drinks, using ceremonial-grade matcha imported from Uji, Japan, a region known around the world for its high-quality tea.

Originally founded in Hawaii, the brand set out to bring premium matcha to more people while staying true to its Japanese roots.

The Sho-gun Matcha Gold Ice Cream

During my visit, I had to try the Sho-gun, one of the most eye-catching desserts on the menu.

And at only $12.75, it felt like a fun treat worth ordering.

You get to choose your soft serve flavor, and I went with matcha, which had a rich, smooth flavor that tasted fresh and not overly sweet.

The edible gold on top made the Sho-gun feel extra special and looked beautiful the second it was handed over.

It was not just for show, either, because the whole dessert was delicious from the first bite to the last.
