Speakeasies are all the rage in big cities like NYC. These hidden cocktail bars are home to some of the world’s most creative libations.
Finding them is just part of the fun; combine that with the unique handcrafted cocktails found inside, and you have yourself the perfect night out on the town.
One of my favorites is located in the subway, and you have to try it during your next visit to NYC!
Nothing Really Matters
During my most recent visit to New York City, I was able to visit its hottest new speakeasy, which is located down the stairs in the subway.
The name of New York City’s hottest speakeasy is Nothing Really Matters and it’s run by the head mixologist, Cyllan Hicks.

This New York City speakeasy has so many unique handcrafted cocktails for you to try all using exciting ingredients.
I recommend trying The Dancing Queen, which has Vodka, White Cranberry, Lemon, Lime & Rosemary.
You can also pick a Martini from their extensive list or try a local beer or bold wine.

They have loud music, a dance floor, neon lighting, and a disco ball, all perfect for a night out in New York City!
You can also order snacks, such as potato chips, popcorn, and even Caviar, at this NYC speakeasy.
They even heard a spot on my 8 Secret NYC Speakeasies You Need to Find in 2025!
How To Find Nothing Really Matters
One of my favorite parts of Nothing Really Matters is it’s location!
You can find it easily; pretend you are about to hop on the subway at 210 W 50th St.

As you make your way down the subway stairs, you will hear the loud music and see the bouncer outside.
There is no code to get in; just finding it will allow you access.
Reservations
I recommend making a reservation for this speakeasy, especially on Friday & Saturday nights. Reservations will guarantee you a spot.
You can book a reservation on Resy
