If you’re looking for one of the best vineyards in Vermont to visit during the fall, Shelburne Vineyard should be at the top of your list.

Located just a short drive from Burlington, this Vermont winery offers everything you could want for a perfect autumn day!

Beautiful views, great wine, and a cozy atmosphere.

Shelburne Vineyard

Shelburne Vineyard started in 1998 with just a few acres of vines, but it’s grown into one of the most popular Burlington, Vermont, wineries.

They’re known for their dedication to sustainable winemaking and producing wines from grapes that thrive in Vermont’s chilly climate.

Think Marquette, Louise Swenson, and La Crescent—all varietals that might be new to you but are a perfect match for the region.

I visited Shelburne Vineyard in the heart of fall, and let me tell you, it was a perfect fall vibe.

The trees were bursting with oranges and yellows, making it one of the most scenic places I’ve ever enjoyed a glass of wine.

Wine Flights At Shelburne Vineyard

I opted for a wine flight to try a little bit of everything. The Marquette Reserve was a standout—smooth and rich, with just the right amount of depth.

Pair that with the stunning view of the vineyard and the rolling hills beyond, and it’s no wonder this is considered one of the best wineries in Vermont.

Bluegrass and BBQ Series

Shelburne Vineyard also knows how to put on an event. I learned about their Bluegrass and BBQ series, where they pair live music with delicious BBQ right at the vineyard.

Unfortunately, I didn’t time my visit to catch it, but it’s a great reason to plan a return trip.
