When you think of Starbucks, you might picture a quick coffee run before work. But in New York City, Starbucks takes things to another level — literally.
Located in the Meatpacking District, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery spans three floors and feels more like a coffee wonderland than a typical café.
From coffee flights to fresh pastries, here is everything you need to know.
Starbucks Reserve Roastery in NYC
There are only six Starbucks Reserve Roastery locations worldwide, in NYC, Seattle, Chicago, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Milano.
So, of course, I had to visit the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in NYC during my trip.
And after a night of visiting some of New York City’s speakeasies, it was the perfect time of visit.

So, one morning, we made our way over. The moment I stepped inside, I realized this wouldn’t be a typical Starbucks experience.
The space was massive, spread across three levels, and filled with the aroma of freshly roasted coffee and pastries.
Middle Level at Starbucks Reserve Roastery
The first level, where you enter, is packed with Starbucks merchandise. From unique coffee mugs to rare blends, gift bags, and more.

It’s easy to spend time browsing before grabbing a drink.
And if you are one of those people who collect mugs, this is the place to get one!
Upper Level – Arriviamo Bar
Upstairs, you will find the Arriviamo Bar serving Starbucks cocktails like espresso martinis and other creative drinks.

Unfortunately, they don’t open until noon, so we couldn’t try one during our morning visit.
But it’s on my list for next time I’m in the city.
Lower Level
The lower level is home to The Experience Bar and an impressive pastry case.
These aren’t your typical Starbucks pastries either.
Think Matcha Butterfly Swirl Cake, Raspberry Cornetto, and even Olive Oil Cake.

Pistachio & Rose Twice-Baked Cornetto
We couldn’t resist the Pistachio & Rose Twice-Baked Cornetto, their seasonal treat, which was flaky, sweet, and perfectly indulgent.

A seasonal pastry that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, this cornetto was rich with pistachio flavor and subtly floral from the rose.

Perfectly crisp on the outside and buttery inside, it paired beautifully with our drinks.
Citrus Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Tasting Journey
Next, I had to try the Citrus Butterfly Pea Flower Tea Tasting Journey!
This interactive, color-changing experience features butterfly pea flower tea, citrus cream foam, and lemonade.

The ingredients are served separately on a tray, and when you mix them together.

It’s like a science experiment that transforms into a deep, vibrant purple.
Origin Flight at Starbucks Reserve Roastery
Next was the Origin Flight! A coffee tasting that lets you compare three distinct Starbucks Reserve coffees.
Our flight featured the New York Roastery Signature Blend, the Ecuador Honey Process Blend, and the Indonesia West Java Blend.

Each came with its own mini coffee pot and tasting mugs.

We spent nearly an hour sipping and watching beans roast right in front of us.
