The Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market in NYC combines holiday shopping with some seriously tempting food stalls. I went in curious and left full, so here’s everything I ate and what I’d happily order again.
Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market
Before diving into the food, it’s worth taking a moment to enjoy the setting.
The Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market is set up right outside the iconic department store.

I recommend starting inside Macy’s to browse, soak in the festive atmosphere, and admire the famous holiday window displays.

Once you step onto the street, the market comes into view, with a mix of shopping stalls and food vendors.
Which makes it easy to go from holiday browsing straight to eating your way through the market.
Everything I Ate at the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market
I made my way through the market, stopping wherever something smelled too good to pass up, and here’s what I ordered along the way.
1. Ian’s Cookie Jar
Ian’s Cookie Jar is one of the most recognizable food vendors at the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market, and it’s hard to miss thanks to the long lines and constant smell of fresh cookies.

I stopped here for their famous bucket of cookies, mostly because it feels like a must when visiting a NYC holiday market.
The bucket is definitely a splurge at $34, but you get around 40 freshly baked cookies.
Which makes it perfect for sharing or snacking on throughout your entire trip to New York City.

You can also grab milk to go with them and enjoy everything right by the stall in the nearby seating area.
We didn’t even make it that far, though; we ate about ten cookies immediately while they were still warm and gooey.
2. Sweet Moments
Sweet Moment was easily one of my favorite stops at the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I came back three separate times.
They dip fresh fruit in a hard candy coating, creating that glossy, crunchy shell that cracks perfectly with every bite.

I tried the green grapes, which ended up being my favorite, along with a strawberry and grape mix and even pineapple.
Everything was fresh, sweet, and surprisingly addictive.
At just $6 for a small skewer, it’s the perfect snack to grab while wandering the market without feeling overly heavy.
3. Munchies
The ramen corn dog from Munchies is one of those snacks that makes you stop and do a double-take.
Instead of a traditional batter, the corn dog is coated in crispy ramen noodles, giving it an extra crunchy exterior with every bite.

Inside, it’s a classic hot dog, hot and savory, which makes the whole thing feel indulgent in the best way.
It’s definitely heavier than some of the other snacks at the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market, but it’s perfect if you’re craving something salty.
Is the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market Worth Visiting?
If you’re already planning to visit Macy’s during the holidays, the Macy’s Herald Square Holiday Market is absolutely worth stopping for.
The food options are easy to share, quick to grab, and perfect for mixing sweet and savory without committing to a full sit-down meal.

I’d happily go back just for the candied fruit from Sweet Moments or another bucket of cookies from Ian’s Cookie Jar.
My biggest tip is to come hungry but pace yourself; sharing snacks makes it easier to try more than one thing without feeling overly full.
If you’re looking for festive food paired with classic New York holiday vibes, this market delivers exactly that.
