If you’re a fan of The Bear, recreating Marcus’s Copenhagen food tour is one of the most fun ways to explore the city. We spent a day visiting nearly every place Marcus ate during his trip, and it ended up being one of our favorite foodie experiences in Copenhagen.
Recreate Marcus’s Food Tour
After watching Marcus explore Copenhagen in The Bear, I knew we had to visit the same restaurants during our trip.

It was such a fun way to experience the city’s incredible food scene while following in the footsteps of one of the show’s most beloved characters.

1. Hart Bakery
Our first stop was Hart Bakery, one of Copenhagen’s most famous bakeries.
Make sure to visit the Holmen location, which is the one Marcus went to!

We ordered the vanilla cardamom bun and the brown butter chocolate chip cookie.

While both were delicious, the brown butter chocolate chip cookie was easily my favorite and is something I’d order again in a heartbeat.

If you’re only stopping at one bakery in Copenhagen, Hart is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.
2. Poulette
Next, we headed to Poulette to try the famous fried chicken sandwich Marcus couldn’t stop thinking about.

After one bite, we completely understood why.
The chicken was incredibly crispy, perfectly seasoned, and easily one of the best chicken sandwiches we’ve ever had.

This ended up being one of our favorite meals of the entire trip.
Pro Tip: Stop by Pompette next door, an adorable wine bar Dua Lipa recommended!

3. Joan’s Pølser
Marcus also stopped at a local hot dog stand during his visit.

While the stand has since changed names from Joan’s Pølser to Emmi’s Place, we still wanted to stop by to recreate the experience.

To be completely honest, this one didn’t live up to the hype for us.
It was fun to visit because of The Bear, but it wasn’t one of our favorite meals in Copenhagen.
4. What About Noma?
One stop we couldn’t fully recreate was Noma.
Since the restaurant no longer operates as a traditional restaurant in Copenhagen, we weren’t able to dine there as Marcus did.

Even so, visiting the other restaurants gave us an incredible taste of Copenhagen’s food scene.
Is Marcus’s Food Tour Worth It?
Absolutely!
Whether you’re a fan of The Bear or simply love trying great food while traveling, this self-guided food tour is an unforgettable way to spend a day in Copenhagen.
It introduced us to incredible bakeries, one of the best chicken sandwiches we’ve ever eaten!
And several local favorites we probably wouldn’t have discovered otherwise.
