This hidden gin bar in London serves cocktails and cake, and yes, it’s absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for something different in Covent Garden, this is one experience you need to try.
Mr. Fogg’s Gin Parlour Tipples and Treats Experience
If you’ve ever heard of “afternoon tea” in England, this feels like a fun twist on that idea, but instead of tea, it’s all about gin.
The Tipples & Treats experience at Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour is exactly what it sounds like!
Upstairs in the Gin Parlour, you sit surrounded by vintage decor and velvet seating.

Each person gets two cocktails along with a slice of cake, and the drinks are where this experience really stands out.
Instead of classic recipes, everything is a little unexpected, both in flavor and presentation.
The Bombay
One of the drinks I tried was the Bombay, made with coconut-washed Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru gin.
It leaned tropical with a light sweetness and had this smooth, almost creamy texture that made it feel indulgent without being too heavy.

It was one of those cocktails that’s easy to sip but still feels a little different from anything you’d normally order.
The Calcutta
The Calcutta went in a completely different direction and was much more savory.
It was made with Parmesan cheese-infused Renais gin, 42 Below vodka, and fresh tomato cordial water, which sounds unusual, but somehow worked.

The flavor reminded me a bit of a cocktail version of a tomato-based dish.
It was slightly salty, slightly tangy, and definitely memorable.
The Cake Pairing
Each cocktail is paired with a slice of cake!
Which is what makes this experience feel a little more special than just grabbing drinks at a bar.

The cake added a nice balance to the cocktails, especially with how different the flavors were between drinks.
How to Book a Reservation at Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour
Booking the Tipples & Treats experience at Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour is simple, but it’s something you’ll want to plan ahead for.
Reservations can be made online, and since the Gin Parlour is a smaller, more intimate space.
