Cedar Heights Treehouse in Newport, Vermont
When I first found this secluded luxury treehouse in Northern Vermont through Cedar Heights, I knew it was going to be different from a typical cabin stay.
It’s located in Newport, Vermont, just minutes from the US-Canada border and not far from Jay Peak if you love skiing.
I love that it feels hidden in the woods but is still close enough to town if you need anything.
Here is a look at my visit from start to finish.
My Experience Staying at This Vermont Treehouse
I was so excited to stay here and had been planning it for weeks. It was the middle of February, which meant lots of snow and a true winter wonderland in Vermont.
Before arriving at this secluded luxury treehouse in Northern Vermont, we stopped at the longest ice skating trail in the US in Fairlee.

Which I recommend doing!
Arriving at the Treehouse
After ice skating, we drove about an hour north to the treehouse in Newport, Vermont.
The host sent detailed instructions via Airbnb the morning of our stay, and I definitely recommend screenshotting everything because service gets spotty near the property.

As soon as we saw the mailbox, we turned up the snowy driveway, and suddenly, the beautiful treehouse was standing in front of us.
We even saw on owl soaring through the sky when we arrived!

The area was completely covered in snow, and I immediately knew we were about to have the most relaxing winter stay.
Walking Inside for the First Time
The second we stepped inside, I was blown away.

The floor-to-ceiling windows gave us what felt like 360-degree views of the snowy forest, and the decor felt woodsy in the best way.

The first space I explored was the secluded sunroom, which was perfect for relaxing while still feeling surrounded by snow.
They had yoga mats, an extra TV, and even a record player, which I loved.

I put on some Frank Sinatra while we unpacked and settled in for the evening, and it set the perfect tone.

The Kitchen Setup
The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a small fridge, a stovetop, wine glasses, plates, cookware, and all the basics.

We brought our own pasta and sauce for dinner, and of course, everything we needed to make a charcuterie board.

It felt easy to cook and settle in without leaving the property.
The Living Room and Projector
The living area might have been one of my favorite indoor spaces.
There was a beautiful dining table set right near the window and a comfortable couch facing the projector screen.

At night, we watched movies and even streamed the Winter Olympics on the big screen, which made it feel extra fun and relaxing.

Watching TV surrounded by snowy trees feels different in a Vermont treehouse rental like this.
The Lofted Bedroom
Upstairs was the bedroom, and it looked so inviting the second we climbed up.
The bed was beyond comfortable, and there were small touches that I really appreciated, like lavender pillow spray for a relaxing night.

They also had curtains for anyone who prefers total darkness, but I personally loved being able to see the snowy trees through the windows.
The Outdoor Cedar Hot Tub
Now for my absolute favorite part.
Right down the stairs on the deck was the cedar wood hot tub overlooking the snowy forest.
Even though it was about 15 degrees outside, the hot tub was piping hot.

Sitting there surrounded by snow, with total quiet around us, felt incredibly peaceful.
We spent the night fully enjoying everything the cabin had to offer, from movie nights on the couch to soaking under the cold winter sky.
Waking Up in a Winter Wonderland
The next morning, I loved waking up to the sunrise filtering through the snowy forest.

I made a cup of coffee and stepped back into the hot tub one more time, just to soak in the quiet and take in the Northern Vermont landscape.
