Let me start by saying—I love pickles! I’m infamous for going out of my way to try anything pickle-themed.
From the pickle slushy at Sonic to Popeyes’ pickled chicken wings, I’m there for it.
So when I heard KFC was launching an all‑pickle menu, I was immediately on board—until I realized it was only available in Canada.
Of course, that didn’t stop me. I actually drove across the border just to taste it.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Pickled Menu—and my honest take on each item.
The KFC Pickled Menu
On a Saturday during a long holiday weekend, we decided to head north to Quebec City.
While we technically started with plans to get away for the weekend, let’s be honest—the pickle menu did seal the deal.

So we hopped in the car, drove four and a half hours, and by noon, I had it: the iconic Pickled Menu in hand.
What’s on KFC Canada’s Pickled Menu?
Here’s my deep dive into what’s on the menu and if I thought it was worth.
Pickle Sandwich
Let’s start with the pickle sandwich.
I’m not going to lie—it was classic KFC crispy chicken sandwich goodness, and they definitely didn’t skimp on the pickles.

But was there a big “wow” factor in the pickle department for me? Honestly, no. It had the flavor, but not enough to completely blow my mind.
That said, it was still really tasty, and I’d recommend trying it if you get the chance.
Pickle Pepsi
Pickle Pepsi? Yes, please.
I’ve always heard about “dirty sodas,” but I’d never actually tried one myself, so I went into this with an open mind and an excited heart.
When I ordered, they handed me a regular soda cup to fill with Pepsi and a little container of pickle brine. Which had two pickle slices floating inside.
I poured the brine into the Pepsi, gave it a swirl, and voilà: Pickle Pepsi.

For me, this was an absolute yes! Probably my favorite thing on the whole Pickled Menu.
Sipping the briny, tangy Pepsi and then taking a bite of the pickle sandwich? That combo is something I’d recommend to any pickle lover.
Fried Pickle Chips
Now on to the fried pickle chips. These tasted exactly how you’d imagine—just fried pickles.
They came with ranch on the side, which paired nicely with the crunch, but overall, they felt a little plain.

Mine were even a bit soggy, which didn’t help.
If it were up to me, I’d stack those fried pickle chips right onto the pickle sandwich! That combo would’ve really sent it over the top.
Loaded Pickle Fries
The last item I tried was the loaded pickle fries, which honestly gave me poutine vibes.
They’re classic KFC fries topped with crispy pickle pieces, drizzled with mayo, and finished with a sprinkle of dill seasoning.

Out of everything on the Pickled Menu, these had the strongest pickle flavor, and I loved it.
The crispy pickle bits tasted almost like tangy pickle-flavored potato chips, and they really brought the whole thing together.
Would I Go Back for the KFC Pickled Menu?
Yes, I absolutely would—and I recommend anyone in Canada go out and grab their own pickle fix while it lasts.

For me, this was the most pickle-forward menu I’ve tried compared to the other chains.
Like Sonic’s Grillo’s Pickles and Popeyes’ Pickle Menu. KFC really delivered on the flavor.
The secret is to try everything! The items complement each other, and the full experience is what makes KFCs Pickled Menu so much fun.

I once drove five hours just to try a hot dog cocktail in Brooklyn. Read more about that here: My Honest Review Of The Hot Dog Cocktail In Brooklyn!
And, I also tried Lobster Ice Cream in Maine!
There’s just something about weird flavor combos that make life worth living. And when pickles are involved, I swear I’ve found my true purpose.
