Spring on Nantucket feels even more special during Daffodil Festival weekend. From flower-covered cars to dressed-up dogs and bright blooms everywhere, my visit was one of the happiest days I’ve had on the island.

Every April, the Nantucket Daffodil Festival welcomes spring!

With classic cars, family events, and millions of blooming daffodils across the island.

The annual tradition has become one of the most loved weekends of the year, drawing both locals and visitors looking to celebrate the new season.

My Visit to Daffy Fest

The moment I arrived, the island felt full of energy.

Downtown streets were busy, everyone seemed dressed for the occasion, and yellow flowers were everywhere.

It was one of those events where simply walking around and taking it all in felt like part of the experience.

I spent the day exploring, taking photos, and moving from one event to the next.

Antique Car Parade

One of the biggest highlights of the festival is the famous antique car parade.

More than 100 decorated vintage cars line Main Street before rolling through downtown and heading toward Siasconset for the tailgate picnic.

Seeing each creative display in person was such a fun part of the day, and every car had its own personality.

The Dog Parade

The dog parade may have been the cutest part of the festival.

Friendly pups in daffodil-themed outfits and spring accessories gathered at Children’s Beach before parading through the crowd.

It was impossible not to smile watching all the costumes and excited dogs soaking up the attention.

Nantucket Garden Club’s Annual Daffodil Flower Show

The Nantucket Garden Club Annual Daffodil Flower Show was one of my favorite parts of the festival.

After the excitement of the parades, it offered a quieter and more detailed look at the flower that inspires the entire weekend.

Inside, tables were filled with carefully arranged daffodil displays in different shapes, sizes, and shades of yellow, white, and orange.

What stood out most was the creativity behind each entry.

Some arrangements felt elegant and classic, while others were playful and artistic.

You could tell how much time and care went into every display. It was more than just looking at flowers; it felt like seeing spring turned into art.
