If you’re looking for a luxury stay in Nantucket, the White Elephant is one of the island’s most talked-about properties. After finally experiencing it for myself during Daffodil Festival weekend, I can say it truly lived up to the excitement.
The White Elephant
The White Elephant offers several types of accommodations, including cottages, residences, and its harborside hotel.
We stayed at the inn, and the experience started the moment our ferry arrived.

The hotel shuttle picked us up right at the dock, which made arriving on a busy festival weekend feel easy and stress-free.

Once we arrived, we were welcomed with a glass of prosecco before being shown to our room.
It was a thoughtful touch that instantly set the tone for the stay.
Our Room at the Inn
Our room felt polished, comfortable, and inviting.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, the kind of bed that makes you want to sleep in longer than planned.

Waiting on the bed were welcome chocolates, a simple detail that made the room feel even more special.
After a day of exploring Nantucket, it was the perfect place to come back to and recharge.
Lunch at Brant Point Grill
After settling in, we took a short walk over to the Harborside Hotel and stopped at Brant Point Grill for cocktails and lunch before heading out to enjoy the festival.

It was a great way to start the afternoon and made the whole stay feel like a true getaway.

Complimentary Port and Cheese Hour
One of my favorite touches of the stay was visiting the library at the inn later that evening.
The White Elephant offers a complimentary port wine and cheese hour, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which felt like such a classic and relaxing experience.

It gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy the property before the night continued.
A Relaxing Nantucket Escape
Back in the room, I ended the evening with a bubble bath before climbing into that unbelievably comfortable bed.
Sometimes it’s the simple moments that make a stay memorable, and this one had plenty of them.

They also offer complimentary bikes for guests, which is a fun and easy way to get around Nantucket and explore more of the island at your own pace.
