Finding the perfect place to stay in the Lofoten Islands can be overwhelming, but after spending a night at the Sea Cabins in Å, I can confidently say this was one of my favorite accommodations in Norway.
The Luxury Sea Cabins in Lofoten
The Sea Cabins are modern waterfront cabins located in the fishing village of Å.
One of the most beautiful and historic towns in the Lofoten Islands.

The cabins sit right on the water and overlook the famous Moskenesstraumen current.
Giving guests, like me, incredible views from nearly every angle.
One of the biggest advantages of staying here is the location.

The cabins are only about a 10-minute drive from the Moskenes ferry terminal, making them a convenient first or last stop on a Lofoten road trip.
Booking the Luxury Sea Cabin
I booked this stay through Airbnb while planning our Northern Norway itinerary.
Since we were arriving in Lofoten by ferry, I wanted something that was easy to reach but still felt special.

If you’re visiting during summer, I would recommend booking early.
The Lofoten Islands have become incredibly popular, and accommodations with views like this tend to fill up quickly.
Arriving at the Luxury Sea Cabins
After a day of travel, arriving at the cabin felt like stepping into a postcard.

The cabin itself is compact but thoughtfully designed.
Inside, there is a comfortable living area, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a loft-style bedroom upstairs.

Despite its size, it felt spacious thanks to the high ceilings and huge windows facing the water.
The moment I walked inside, my eyes immediately went to the view.
What to Expect During Your Stay
One of my favorite things about this Airbnb was that the scenery never stopped.
Whether I was sitting in the living room, making dinner in the kitchen, or relaxing upstairs, there was always an incredible view of the sea.

The bedroom loft was especially memorable.
Waking up and looking out over the water without even getting out of bed felt unreal.
The cabin’s design makes the views the star of the show.
We were lucky enough to visit during the midnight sun season, which meant the landscape stayed glowing late into the night.
Instead of rushing to catch the sunset, we could simply relax and enjoy the views whenever we wanted.
My Favorite Part
My favorite part of the stay was slowing down and enjoying the cabin itself.
After a busy travel day, I put together a simple charcuterie board with Norwegian specialties, including brown cheese, and poured a glass of wine.

Sitting by the window while watching the ocean was one of those travel moments that stick with you long after the trip is over.
Tips for Staying at the Sea Cabins
Visit During the Midnight Sun
If you’re traveling in June or July, you’ll have nearly endless daylight. It makes enjoying the views even more special.
Use It as a Base for Southern Lofoten
The location in Å makes it easy to visit nearby attractions like Reine, Hamnøy, Sakrisøy, and several of the area’s most famous hikes.
Stop at the Grocery Store Before Arriving
The kitchen is great for preparing simple meals, snacks, or a wine and cheese night after exploring.
Spend Time at the Cabin
It sounds obvious, but don’t treat this as just a place to sleep. Some of my favorite memories came from simply relaxing and taking in the scenery.
Is It Worth It?
Absolutely.
I’ve stayed in a lot of accommodations during my travels, and the Sea Cabins in Å stand out because of their location, views, and overall experience.
The modern design is comfortable without feeling overdone, and the waterfront setting makes it feel uniquely Norwegian.
If you’re looking for a memorable place to stay in the Lofoten Islands, I think this is one of the best Airbnb options you’ll find.
